We are Star Wars and Disneyland fans, so we were excited to visit Galaxy’s Edge. My son was able to make the flyers make noise and rev up while Chewbacca and Rey were "fixing" them and they would react to what my son was doing! If you download the Disney Play app, you can interact with things in Galaxy's Edge. We bought a couple and spent the money on building droids and light sabers. You have to put $100 or more on it but you can spend it anywhere in Disneyland. Another awesome and "free" souvenir was the gift card token you can get from the droid depot. They make the best souvenirs but be aware that the light saber boxes can be heavy and blades and droids awkward to carry around the whole park. We spent a lot of money on the droids ($100 plus tax each) and light sabers (made 1 custom one, and bought Ben Solo and Kylo Ren legacy light sabers at $200+ each) but do not regret any of it. We also waited in line to see and buy the legacy light sabers, tried blue milk (an acquired taste), bought the thermal detonator soda bottles, watched Kylo Ren, Rey, Chewbacca, and storm troopers interact with people and browsed all the stores. We did the build a droid (did not reserve but waited about 30 minutes early in the day to get a slot), built our own custom light saber (did make a reservation about a month prior to our visit), and visited the cantina (made a reservation at the same time as the light saber). There is plenty to do (if you make reservations first, you will have a better shot at doing whatever you want!). The rest of the land is just like what you think being in the Star Wars world would look like. I am hoping they offer fast passes for it soon. The ride is good but I am not sure it is worth waiting over 2 hours for. The line wound around most of the land at one point! We only had to wait about 45 minutes because we started waiting most of the early morning hour before the land even opened. The wait time went up to 230 minutes one of the days we were there and were consistently over 100 minutes for most of the day. The days we were there were supposedly the busiest of the year (Dec 28-30) so we were only able to ride Smuggler's Run once. We love the rides in Disneyland and California Adventure but we found ourselves back at Galaxy's Edge in between redeeming fast passes. We really wanted to experience the new land ever since it opened in May and this was our chance. The main reason we planned our trip to Disneyland this year on our way home from Singapore was because of Galaxy's Edge.
